今日はい草のご紹介です。
When the fund-raising goods of JAPAN FAIR were considered at first, only quite quiet flowers were considered.

最初
JAPAN FAIRの募金商品を考えた時、かなり地味な花ばかり考えていました。
でもよく考えたら、地味な花って、ほんとに売れない。
自分は好きだからいいけど、植えてもインパクトないからどうしてもprimに余裕のある人しか使わない。
それで、春の日本の代表格の桜を作ったわけですが、やっぱりどうしても地味なものも作りたい。
で、いくつか候補に挙げていたものの中で、一番地味ない草を選びました。

ずっと我が家に植えてあって、いつか作ろうと思ってた草の一つです。

萼なんだそうです。
ということを昔聞いた時、一体何のための進化なんだろう？とかなり不思議に思った覚えがあります。

英名Rush なんですが、検索するときは学名でしないとrushでググってもこの草全然出てきません。
日本人にはなくてはならない草なのに、扱いヒドイ。。
